Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes, CEO/COO, Canyon State Electric
CONTEXT: Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes has worked in the electrical industry for over 25 years. As CEO and COO of Canyon State Electric (CSE), she develops and executes corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis. Maderazzo-Hughes leads his team by continually creating opportunities for employees to participate in decision-making and deliver solutions that move the business forward.
SOURCE OF PRIDE: “I’m proud of how we weathered the economic downturn from 2007 to 2011. It was a tough time for the business, but the lessons we learned gave us the expertise and confidence to lead CSE during the pandemic, and we came out of it stronger on the other side.
SURPRISING FACT: “I was a gymnast and I still have a few tricks up my sleeve! I can do handstands, and when we do team building activities like the Tough Mudder, my team is shocked that I’m climbing 10-foot walls and carrying heavy sandbags.
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: “Eleanor Roosevelt has always inspired me. Despite the expectations of women at the time and her position as First Lady, she always pursued her goals in business and activism. She had an unstoppable drive that I try to channel in everything I do.
